Brianna Laren is a wife, mom of two and an author. She wrote her current book, Pretty Pretty Black Girl, while she was struggling with depression. She finally decided to publish it because she thought the words could help other black women that have struggled with their self identity, self worth, society's stereotypes and colorism, just to name a few.
Her struggle with depression taught her so much, it was like having to find herself all over again. After she overcame depression she became intentional in doing things that bring her joy, being present and knowing when to ask for help.
