Jane Egerton-Idehen, the author, co-founder and a telecommunication executive with over 17 years experience spanning across Nigeria, Liberia and Ghana. She holds an Engineering degree from the University of Nigeria and an MBA from Warwick Business school, UK. And an executive education from Harvard Business School and Yale School of Management.
She is on the show sharing her journey on her path to being fearless. Which is the title of her current book, It tells her journey from rising from the slums of Ajegunle in Lagos, Nigeria, to brokering million-dollar deals for global telecoms giants, hers is a story of hope, of challenging traditional gender roles, and of embracing who you are. She says it is a love story to her younger self and a gift to her young daughter.
She is currently the Country Manager in Nigeria and Regional Sales Manager West Africa for a Satellite company: Avanti Communications Ltd. In 2019 she received the 50 Leading Ladies in Corporate Nigeria Leadership award.
Her passion is seeing women like herself fulfilling their purpose, growing their careers. She has a history of promoting girls in STEM, this is evident in her co-founding the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) in Nigeria, an international professional organization for promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. As well Founding Women & Career which for her was a way to reach out to other women beyond my organization. Catch her powerful journey on the show from the Slums of Ajegunle to a “Seat at the Table”.
