Hari Om wird manchmal als Gruß verwendet, kann aber auch gesungen werden. Es könnte frei übersetzt werden mit “Ich grüße das Göttliche in dir. Ich wende mich dir in Liebe zu.”

stammt aus der Vedanta-Tradition und steht für die kosmische Einheit. Indem man sich gegenseitig mit Om begrüßt, ist man sich bewusst, dass beide letztlich eins sind. Die Selbste der beiden, die sich grüßen, sind eins. Und die ganze Welt, in der man sich befindet, ist ein kosmisches Ganzes.
