When you meet people for the first time and spend just as much time laughing as you do asking questions, you know it’s going to be a good time. Jon Guidry and Harold Briscoe are two members of the team at Lavish Life Sneakers, a sneaker and streetwear resale boutique based out of Baton Rouge. While they might explain that the founding of the shop was “random”, through the course of our conversation, we discovered recurring examples of conviction and determination which were crucial to the early success of the store. In our interview, we discuss how Jon and Harold built their sneaker collections, what the day to day is like in the shop, and why it’s so important to buy and wear what you like, not just what is hype.
