Woah! It's episode 2! For geeks around the globe, just hearing the words "episode two" can trigger a lot of unpleasant memories, but I'm hoping to deliver a much more enjoyable experience.
For the second episode of Showing Promise, my guest Lano Pecina and I discuss a few flicks that we watched over a weekend, all of which had a "throwback" feel to them. First starting with the fourth (or third depending on how you feel about it) installment of the Ghostbusters franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Next, another movie that is fourth in its series, and was highly anticipated by millennial dudes everywhere, The Matrix Resurrections. How did we feel about that one, you ask? All I can say is, we felt strongly about it. And last, we cover a blockbuster super hero story that hit us right in the feels, taking us back to the early days of Marvel movies, in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
*Be warned! This episode contains SPOILERS for all these films.*
This one was a doozy to record, but so much fun. It's a beast of a show, so thank you for giving it a listen. If you happen to be driving across the country, this will help you get about halfway.
Big thank you to Lano for talking nerdy with me. Let's do another!
