Our very own Shit Talker, Jordy Lambropoulos (@jordydarian), better known as ItsJordysWorld on TikTok has lived quite the life in her short 25 years thus far, that some may never experience in their entire lifetime!
In Part One, Jordy shared what life was like as a child with no concept of 'normal', in a world that was upside-down from day dot.
In May 2023, Jordy became Australia's first Crohn's Disease Stem-Cell Transplant recipient, and in this episode we take a deep dive into her last-resort experience living with a treatment-refractory illness. Jordy talks all things stem-cell transplant, moving to Sydney for lifesaving treatment, and saying goodbye to her family in a close call with death (which a huge side of comedic relief, because it wouldn't be a story told by Jordy without morbid giggle).
As discussed in this episode, Jordy was her own donor and recipient however, many stem-cell transplant recipients require a donor and spend copious amounts of time on a waitlist. Many people are unaware that registering for the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry is as simple as having a cheek swab delivered in the mail. We touch on this during the episode, but we urge you to register (if you are able to, and are willing to), as your donation might just save a life! Donation is almost as straight-forward as giving blood!
Enroll in the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry HERE.

A foundation that also generously assisted Jordy during her transplant was the Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation.
