This is the third of a new series of podcasts recorded at Site Gallery's regular Site Sessions events. Site Sessions are monthly interdisciplinary gatherings, generally occurring on the last Thursday of the month.

The theme of this one, recorded on Thursday 26th of April, 2018, is The City and The Country. Hosted by Site Gallery's Digital Curator Leila Johnston, it features artists Anna Chrystal Stephens and Glen Stoker, and was recorded at Sheffield Hallam University.

The episode opens with a chat with Anna and Glen about their Platform residency at the Site Gallery in 2016, the book they created, and what they've been up to, separately and together, since it ended. You'll then hear some extracts of their public talk, and the discussion that took place afterwards.

Anna and Glen's work covers themes of survival, orientation, empowerment and sustainability. Their infectious activism incorporates photography, sculpture, walking, knowledge-sharing, poetry, performance and themes of survival and economic equality. They practice what they preach, experiencing their lives as a continual opportunity for action and change.

You'll get a sense of their extraordinary energy and creative chemistry, in this episode.

Site Sessions is a City of Ideas project. For more information on Site Sessions and how to book, please visit sitegallery.org and follow @site_gallery on twitter and @sitegallery on Instagram.
