Thank you for joining us on SkinnyTrees: Lift Health for All. We like many of our fellow Chicagoans, are staying home and practicing social distancing to flatten the curve. We are here to present a mini-series: COVID-19 in our Chicago communities. Each mini episode will focus on a different community in Chicago to find out how they are coping with these difficult times. This episode features our colleague, Maggie Nava interviewing Esther Sciammarella, a trusted community leader and the executive director of The Chicago Hispanic Health Coalition. Esther Sciammarella is the executive director of The ChicagoHispanic Health Coalition, which mission lies in getting the Hispanic community access to a good health system, regardless of their immigration status in the United States. Esther has promoted the development of social programs and supported the creation of educational courses to inform people about the prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes and lupus. Find more resources on COVID-19 on the City of Chicago's website: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid-19/home.html Contact us at: -skinnytreespodcast@gmail.com -https://twitter.com/skinnytrees312
