Today we spoke with Cody Royle - Coach, Best-selling Author, and Former Head Coach AFL Team Canada

Cody is a coach to coaches. Author of 'The Tough Stuff' and 'Where Others Won't', he coaches 15 head coaches from 7 team sports globally. Roles range from cultural architect, mentor, confidante, facilitator, sounding board to idea generator; he has worked with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Pittsburgh Pirates, Premier League...amongst others.

We spoke about self-care for coaches, his coaching philosophy, and how his writing style changed from his first book to his latest - how his confidence and voice grew from experience. Cody discussed how his work reflects a journey from Australia to Canada, to Ireland (and his links with here!)...and how his identity has changed with fatherhood. We unpacked people vs tech innovations and the skills of great coaches.

FYI Cody has a fantastic podcast - check out 'Where Others Won't' - guests include our friend Owen Eastwood, Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson and Lisa Fallon.

Thanks for coming to our office in Dublin Cody!
