Today we spoke with Allistair McCaw – Human performance and team culture coach

Allistair is recognised as one of the world’s leading figures in maximising human performance, mindset, team culture and leadership. For over 25 years, he has worked with numerous Olympians, Paralympians, World Champion Athletes, Grand Slam Champions, Fortune 500 companies, NCAA colleges including LSU, Duke and the University of Minnesota, Nissan, along with football clubs such as Rangers, Benfica and PSG. An author of 5 best selling books, Allistair is also a 29 time marathon finisher and former 5 time World Championship competitor in the sport of Duathlon (which he explains to us!).

We spoke about his journey from Ballymena, Northern Ireland to South Africa, and to Florida (where he lives!)... and why champion minded became his calling after a very successful personal sporting career. He unpacked what separates the best of the best, and why joy and fun is so important in elite team environments - but also when children are participating in sport - that must be the goal! Allistair leaned into coachability, work ethic, attitude and hunger, and why these ingredients are vital.
