Today on Slutโ Brooke Bundy. Brooke just released her pilot, Almost Already Famous, which she wrote, directed, and starred in. The show is about Agnes, a failed actress turned stripper, and the daughter of a famous Hollywood actress. Living in her shadow, Agnes must figure out how to achieve her own fame. We discuss how she came up with the idea and her characterโs fatal flaw.
Then we dive into how she started making short films and why she is so attracted to filmmaking. Brooke talks about her experience landing a role in The Hunger Games and Mockingjay to follow and how it was hard for her to rebound from that. After that role, she hosted a monthly comedy show in New York called The Witching Hourโ and it was here where Brooke began examining her femininity. Not too long after, she moved to Los Angeles to start LA Kings with Tina Stormberg, a psycho slutty performance art show. We discuss how she evolved from being a tomboy to embracing hyper-femininity in her work today at Jumbos Clown Room.
