Tricia Wise(Safe Slut) joins me today to discuss all things herpes. In 2019, Tricia tested positive for herpes after a one-night stand. We begin with the story of her first herpes outbreak(4:34) and why it pushed her to create Safe Slut (7:48). We then discuss how to have safe sex, the importance of confidently disclosing (9:21), and how to (sometimes) handle rejection after (10:52). Tricia talks about how she got her sex drive back after her diagnosis (11:56), healing sexual trauma through reiki (13:33), and managing outbreaks (17:40). Then, we dive into why so many people don't get tested because they're scared (19:47), good versus bad herpes jokes (23:52), why she's grateful herpes came into her life and what it's taught her (25:55).
