As one half of Detroit-founded Two Circles Records, Matt Wooddy has helped construct a niche gathering of dance music enthusiasts in his southern home of Atlanta. With a mindful nod to the ways of house music in generations past, Matt comes to the public with transitional noms de plume to help translate his musical upbringing. For the first six years of Heat Promotions' existence, Matt DJed under his Inferno moniker, playing everything from weekly residencies in Midtown Atlanta to jet-setting to acclaimed nights in continental cities. He's been involved with helping shape newer cultures and artistic communities in Atlanta, and it's a careful attention to detail that has helped him gain an edge over less mindful industry peers. His newest venture, appropriately named Woodlawn, helps him focus more on the direction that house and techno has taken over the course of the last three decades. In an age of digital communication and automatic audio transmissions, Matt continues to rely on patient methods of DJing to convey his overall message in sound.
