This week we are going to talk junior hockey with Jason Do Paco, who is the head coach and general manager of Norfolk’s newest team, the Langton Royals.

Jason sits down with Smart Sports Podcast and talks about how the Langton Royals came to be, the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League, and what he's had to do to assure Norfolk County that his program is here to stay. And yes, because the Royals are in the CPJHL, we talk Brian Fish.

SHOUT OUTS

• To Maddox Callens and Landon McCallum, who made their OHL debuts last week with the Kingston Frontenacs and Sudbury Wolves respectively. Hopefully we will be able to get them on the podcast very soon.

• To Dan Avey and the crew at YFC Youth Unlimited Norfolk. They hit the links Wednesday for their golf-a-thon fundraiser and raised $7,000. This is a huge deal. YFC Youth Unlimited is all about the youth, and Dan does some pretty amazing things for our community.

• And finally, a shout out goes out to Jukassa Speedway. The local race track is hosting the Pinty’s Fall Brawl for a third straight year to close out the season at Jukasa Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Pinty’s Series on Saturday. The evening’s twin-bill will showcase the 200-lap season finale for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series where the National Champ will be crowned as well as a 50-lap invitational for the perennially competitive Limited Late Model division.
