This episode originally aired two years ago. We both still believe strongly in male rites of passage. We talk about the importance of initiation rituals for young men. Different cultures approach this transition from boyhood to manhood, and the impact it can have on individuals and society as a whole. Initiations can provide a structured way for boys to learn about responsibility, morality, and their role in the community.

We also touched on the significance of nature in these rituals, as well as the need for tailored educational approaches for boys in classrooms. There is tremendous value in these traditions and the potential they hold for positively shaping future generations of men.

We also talk about programs like Outward Bound as a successful program that provides this kind of transformative experience for at-risk youth. While there may be challenges in reviving or adapting traditional programs like the Boy Scouts, the need for such initiation rituals remains evident.
