It was given at the International Women's Strike rally held March 8, 2017 in downtown L.A. Famed Caribbean poet, playwright and Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott has died. We pay tribute to his work with Dr. Alissa Trotz, Associate Professor in Women and Gender studies at New College, University of Toronto; and Christian Campbell, Trinidandian-Bahamian poet, essayist, cultural critic and author of Running the Dusk.
