Do you feel guilty for having a good life, for having success? Has someone either directly or indirectly tried to bring you down while you were in the process of evolving emotionally, mentally, or financially? Do you feel the need to keep yourself small in order to make someone else feel better about themselves? How do you respond when someone tries to bait you and rope you into their chaos?

Join Ginny and Amanda in an insightful and funny conversation about letting yourself shine no matter your situation. There will be singing!

This episode explores:

  • The different levels of functioning in society and the "ankle grabbers" who try to pull you down while you are evolving emotionally.
  • How to consistently not take the bait and stick to your "dance moves."
  • You must be willing to risk losing people who are uncomfortable with your growth and your shine.
  • How to meet someone who is suffering with compassion and empathy while maintaining your shine.
  • Allowing people to have their story but not staying stuck in it with them; releasing the need to change or fix somebody (codependency).

Update: The man Amanda and Jim met in the emergency room who was detoxing called Jim a few days later. He has not committed to a recovery program, but calling is a huge step in the right direction.
