You have to plan properly for the business you want to start and make sure you gain the knowledge of the specialties that you need to have on your tool belt for success.
Develop a solid core team
Find a business attorney that can help you with your business plan and structure.
Find a CPA to assist you with the tax world.
Find a financial planner to help with your businesses financial planning.
Additionally before you even transition out of the service be sure to get everything in writing and have it printed out. Have copies of all benefits and assets.
The Veteran Connections Podcast provides advice from Veterans for Veterans. A lot of people like you and me that have been through the military have the same thoughts and a lot of the same questions.
