Carol Rodriguez (known as C. Rod on the track and field scene) continues to expand her reach in entertainment by revisiting her love of music as she channels her family’s ties to the arts. From a long line of musicians including her mother whom was a singer and her grandfather a member of New Orleans's ‘The 5 Knight’s’, Carol experienced her first taste at music at the age of 7 years old using a 2XL robot to write and record her lyrics, then once again at age 9 where she’d go one to partake in the marching, jazz and symphonic bands. Carol embraced her alter ego ‘Carol Cake’ in 2011 as she released her first freestyle to Lil Wayne’s ‘6 Foot 7 Foot.’ Since, Carol has been sprinting from track to track in the preparations of her debut project ‘7 Candles.’
