When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. This episode is with Manuel from Zeal & Ardor, an awesome band that fuses black metal with rootsy Spirituals that started as a one man projects and now is a full touring band.
We discuss the upcoming album 'Stranger Fruit' which is due out June 8th. We get into its references to esoteric topics such as Goetia, Abramelin the Mage, the syncretic religion of the Yoruba, The Tarot and more.
Listen to the album when its released and check out the singles that are already out there from it like Gravediggers Chant etc. Its a great work and it was cool to sit with Manuel who was happy for me to pick through the references amongst the lyrics and track titles.
