The psych-rocker, multi-instrumentalist, producer and podcaster is synonymous with Chihuahua’s indie scene and today he is walking us through some local history and a wide array of musical genres. Sr. Amable is the stage name of Andrés Murillo, who since the mid-aughts has made a splash across Mexico thanks to his multi-faceted psych music, as well as much production work for emerging acts. Along with his studio and collective Futuro de la Economía, Amable’s work has put a spotlight on some phenomenal underground music in Chihuahua. He is also fascinated by music history and the context in which different art forms live, which he explores on his podcast Blues de la Plataforma.
