Kindred Throats is the musical comedy duo, Kevin Stafford and Todd Risenmay: two throats, two guitars, one unforgettable bromance. Todd and Kevin were both born at the same time on the same day at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Oregon. Upon meeting each other in the hospital nursery, they harmonized a musical note so powerful that the nurses on staff would go on to say it was, “pretty impressive for babies.” Ever since, they have grown and experienced life together through many successes, failures, fears, and loves. It’s the age old story of brother-from-another-motherhood, and they’ve documented it all in two-part harmony.
Kindred Throats frequents the LA comedy scene, appearing at clubs and stages like The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Central Stage, The Second City Hollywood, and more. They’ve performed at RIOT LA Comedy Festival, The LA Comedy Festival, and The Coup De Comedy Festival at UC Irvine. Kevin and Todd are both writers, musical directors, and performers who have toured nationally and abroad to make audiences hurt with laughter and cheer with joy. From comedy clubs to theatres, their jokes, stories and songs are greeted by all sensibilities. With cleverly written satire soaring on scorching guitar licks and vocal harmonies, it is a guarantee that Kindred Throats will bring you the comedy heat.
