Savvy entrepreneurs have actually been selling using these chat techniques (It is possible) Every day my partner LOUI and I see online brands basically walking away from money in the form of either not responding or poorly responding to their comments.

"CONVERSIONS HAPPEN IN CONVERSATIONS", so GO FOR IT, converse in chat and start cashing $$$ in. What have you got to lose? Think about it, people who respond to you are warm potential leads and far more likely to connect more deeply if you reciprocate with some conversation. This is a far better alternative IMO than chasing these "so-called" influencers who will never see your stuff simply because they don't follow you. Hope that helps.
