Episode 5 of US Railway Travelogue finds Tim Davies in and around Portland, Oregon, after the Coast Starlight leg of his iconic Amtrak trains tour across the USA, and ahead of the Empire Builder leg. Tim 'hops' on board one of the trolleys, heading for the stunning, mixed scenery Washington Park. The journey brings Tim to a steel bridge which just happens to be the most inter-modal bridge anywhere in the world! Moving along the river brings Tim to the cable car system, and the Tilikum Crossing Bridge. Tim has a chat to one of the Gray Line drivers, and discovers why Portland is called the 'city of roses'.
