Sounders advance to the round of 16 of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in dramatic fashion! And that was probably the most dramatic match of 2024. We spent an hour fending off a Louisville City SC club that was swinging wildly and were up 2-0 at 63' thanks to goals by Rothrock (Georgi) and Musovksi (Leyva)... then it got nervy.

Louisville clawed back and tied it by the 89th leading to extra time and then our savior, our buff blonde, our stache betwixt the sticks... carried us to victory in penalties.

Now we invite Phoenix Rising to Starfire on May 22nd. Will Andy need to deliver us from near defeat again?
