To truly practice what I preach, leadership development is constantly in my routine.

With that in mind, I bet you didn’t think you’d catch me attending a leadership conference led by former Navy SEALs…

but boy was I blown away!

After reading, Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win, I was hooked and ready to learn more about leading in a more practical, tangible way from authors Jocko Willink and Leif Babin.

So my husband Kyle and I signed up to attend The Muster.

It’s an intense, two-day leadership conference designed to provide leaders with real-world applicable leadership principles, assessments, and role-playing opportunities to maximize their understanding and lock in their learning.

Today’s episode of the Spa Marketing Made Easy is all about our takeaways from the conference.

I highly recommend you take a listen because there are some really eye opening reflections about how this conference breaks a lot of stereotypes and helps view leadership from a more practical perspective.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Daniela and Kyle’s biggest takeaways from Echelon Front’s Muster conference

  • Learning leadership in a practical, tangible way

  • Current trends for what motivates employees

  • Importance of showing compassionate leadership

  • How leaders can empower employees and encourage them to be better humans in the world
