In this episode of Speaking with Confidence with Cat Matson I explore the power of cropping for focus and impact. As an amateur photographer, I've learned the importance of cropping in the post-production process. It's amazing how just changing the frame can bring the subject into focus and make the photo more impactful. Last year, after Riverfire, I saw a fantastic photo that was being circulated of the FA/18 Super Hornet … shortly afterwards the original, uncropped photo was also shared. The value of ‘cropping’ was obvious! It really brought the subject into focus. Cropping your presentations is similar. Sometimes we include things that look important, but they're really just distractions. By cropping your presentation and getting rid of the extra stuff around the edges, you can make your main message more powerful and impactful. So, next time you're preparing a presentation, think about how you can crop it. What can you prune or cut out altogether to make your message more impactful? Head over to Speaking with Confidence with Cat Matson to see the Riverfire photo.
