Today, I am talking to my friend Payton Scroggins, aka Blue Heron Medium. You will fall in love with his energy and feel inspired to shine your light after this episode! Payton and I met through the Spirit School Collective. We decided to hop on a Zoom call after connecting on Instagram, and the rest is history!

As I mentioned in the intro, you can check out my collaborative art show, Natural Confluence virtually at Necessary Arts Collective on their blog:

In this conversation, Payton and I talk about:

  • How he always had an awareness of the spirituality space
  • A client referred him to a medium that brought him back to this path
  • Danielle's Spirit School podcast made Payton feel seen and brought him further into mediumship development
  • The stylists and practitioners at his salon are open to spiritual topics
  • He has gradually been introducing his spiritual practice into the salon space
  • Payton realized he had been channeling for his clients for years
  • Not everyone on a spiritual path is meant to do this as a career
  • Personal healing helps us to be clear channels without filtering spirit
  • Being able to feel the energy of a spirit is a healing presence
  • Mediumship can also be a way to connect to our beliefs around death and spirituality
  • Spiritual practices can help us to manage our energy as introverts
  • Community provides a space to talk more in depth about spirituality
  • There is a community for everyone, and the pandemic has created more online spaces
  • Physical activity and tangible practices are great for grounding
  • Meditation and crystals can help to manage energy
  • Grounding is anything that brings you into your human
  • For as much as we are in spirit, we need to be grounded into the earth
