Jason Smith is a coach for Catch a Lift, a non-profit that enables post-9/11 combat injured veterans all over the U.S. to recover and rehabilitate both physically and mentally through physical fitness, motivation, and support.

In this episode, Jason shares how he lost both of his legs by stepping on an IED, which led him down a dark path but ultimately changed his perspective on life. We get into the nitty-gritty of how he’s broken a world record for the 1-minute row and why he follows the carnivore diet. Plus, how he found his purpose and why he believes that a situation is only as bad as you make it.

You can learn more about Jason Smith and Catch a Lift on the CAL website (catchaliftfund.org), you can follow Jason on Instagram (@smithmachine85), and you can follow CAL on Instagram (@catchalift_fund).

Episode Shoutouts: Nutrition World.

The Square One podcast is produced and edited by SpeakEasy Productions and hosted/sponsored by Omni Home Services, which represents Chattanooga Home Inspector, Nuclear Pest Control, Elevate Home Staging and Design, and Radon Eraser.
