SAGES, ASCRS, SSO, SSAT, NAPRC, and the American Cancer Society presented the webinar titled "Improving the Care of Gastric Cancer Patients: Status and Strategies for Today and Tomorrow" on May 26, 2021 as part of the Patient-Centric Surgery in the 21st Century: Improving Cancer Care Delivered Through Minimally Invasive Surgery Webinar Series.

The aim of this series, is to highlight and promote the optimal surgical care and quality of life for patients with GI and endocrine cancers. Topics covered will include prevention and detection, the challenges with screening and delayed diagnoses during the time of Covid, the status and optimal performance of cancer surgery as well as future directions in the care of cancer patients with advanced technologies. Patient quality of life and the benefits, impediments, and options for minimally invasive oncologic surgery will be highlighted.
