If you are a singer who has been considering teaching voice lessons but isn’t sure exactly where to start this episode is for you! This episode is also for you if you are already teaching voice lessons but you want to work with more students or you want to figure out how to become a better voice teacher.

I did a survey of singers who want to teach voice or vocal coaches and voice teachers who are currently teaching voice and asked them about their biggest frustrations and challenges teaching voice lessons - and we will chat about the following challenges on this episode! If you have any of the following challenges or fears, you are not alone and this episode is perfect for you!

  • Finding the right solutions to vocal problems I'm identifying and tailoring solutions for specific students.
  • Not knowing what to do about vocal problems or how to help a singer develop their voice
  • Retention of students - keeping lessons fresh
  • Having the words to communicate the solution for my voice students
  • I don’t really know how to begin. I am a professional singer and I’ve studied voice for many years but I’ve never actually taught one on one.
  • I am not confident about how or what to teach or where to start even though I was trained in college and have been singing my whole life.
  • Feeling unqualified, unsure where to go next with students, being able to diagnose issues and help students solve them, having enough/the right material
