As a podcast we are seeking to cover not just startups and entrepreneurs from the UAE, but the Middle East, so we were excited to interview Mohammed Aldossary, co-founder & CEO of Sary (a B2B ecommerce marketplace from Saudi Arabia) that has managed to raise USD 6.6 Million in Series A funding, during these unprecedented times.

Ben Harburg, the Managing Partner of MSA Capital (one of the VC's in the Series A round), said, “As we saw in China with SARS, and now Covid-19, these moments provide critical pain points for regional supply-chain businesses, forcing improvements in logistics, technology integration, and consumer touchpoints. Sary is uniquely positioned to help lead these evolutions in the Saudi market, ensuring that products are available on-demand, under all conditions.”

Mohammed has had a very interesting professional trajectory from having two successful exits, to moving up from being the market launcher for Careem in Saudi Arabia to the General Manager.

During his time in Saudi Arabia, he started to identify pain points from the region, specifically with first mile, anergd thus Sary came into fruition.

We talk about how business is impacted with Covid-19, how regulations changes impact growth, how to find the perfect co-founder synergy, how to fund-raise and so much more...

We really enjoyed our conversation with Mohammed, and believe that there is so much aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from this episode.
