Today, technology is the most sought-after component of our diets, as seen by the global agrifood industry's increasing investment in innovative projects and businesses, such as those involved in food technology. The industry aims to adapt with the times and satisfy the needs of ever-demanding customers who have more sustainable and nutritious eating habits. SPACE-F is Thailand's first food tech incubator and accelerator. In an effort to position Thailand as a top location for FoodTech startups, Thai Union, ThaiBev, Lotte Fine Chemicals, Mahidol University, and The National Innovation Agency of Thailand partnered to form SPACE-F.
Chris Aurand, the Open Innovation Leader of Thai Union, is a pleasure to have on this episode. As part of the role he holds, Chris is responsible for executing the open innovation strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify their pain points and encourage external cooperation. He is also responsible for building the long-term strategy SPACE-F program.
