On October 7th, a massive and unprecedented attack unfolded as thousands of Hamas fighters crossed the Gaza border, launching brutal assaults on civilians. This event ignited a prolonged war in Gaza, with relentless Israeli airstrikes that have since claimed the lives of over 40,000 Palestinians.
Meanwhile, violence has surged in the occupied West Bank, and to Israel's north, skirmishes with Hezbollah have escalated into full-scale conflict across Lebanon. Israel is also engaging militant groups throughout the region, including forces in Syria and Yemen's Houthi rebels.
Iran, backing these groups, has now entered the fray directly with a second wave of missile attacks on Israel, prompting fears of further escalation as Israeli strikes inside Iranian territory loom.
Now, the USA will likely be completely involved, which only intensifies the conflict.
