This week we have an amazing guest, Alexis Joseph, the founder of the blog Hummusapien and the co-founder of Alchemy Juice Cafe and Kitchen. We loved this conversation so much and love how transparent Alexis is around her challenges and struggles throughout her career. We discuss hard work, hustling, learning how to be a business owner, and also the not so glamorous part of owning a business/restaurant. We also talk about how her vision for both the blog and the restaurant has shifted over the years and how they want to promote a no judgement zone around food and being conscious of the language they use around food. All three of us jam on intuitive eating and how it has changed our lives and allowed us to become more intuitive in all areas of our lives and not just around eating. We discuss the importance of getting help if you are struggling with orthorexia or any other type of eating disorder or body image struggle. Speaking of getting help…we all talk about how much our friend Simi Botic inspires us so much and how we want everyone to go follow her!! But seriously, if you don’t follow her yet, go do that! ha! We end our convo talking about relationships and how she and Jeff are intentional about showing up in their relationship with each other. We had so much fun chatting with Alexis and we are so excited for all the amazing things coming up for her in the next year!
