Abby Anderson is a Texas native who moved to Nashville to fire up her music carear, she made the kind of music the music label wanted her to make so they could "Sell her". She has just released her first full album of original work, that is about ending relationships, though it might seem like its a single person, her work is about breaking free from overly controlling forces. Those forces could be the label, a relationship, or even a religion.

The conversation went in so many directions, we covered so many topics in her music, and left way too many loose ends we never finished talking about.

She is a very charming, fun and inspiring woman. She is all about owning and empowering yourself.

The new music isn't really country, some of it is actually a soul tinged late 70s disco with a southern accent in her lyrics. She toured with some giants, but, if you want to know how she killed, well, she took the road with Rob Thomas. Nuff said.
