From the Avant-Garde tribe of New York City, if you ever needed to know if the movement of performance art is still alive, well, Eszter Balint is proof of that.

Born in Hungary, she has lived in New York City for decades, and has been "boots on the ground" making music to inspire you. She considers the violin her "Weapon of choice" as she delivers sometimes dark, but ever inpsiring music, just making you think, where you have been and what significant thing you can do today with what you know.

We bantered about Hungarian History, performing with David Bowie, and her lack of interest in science fiction.

Her new album "I Hate Memory" is a powerful reflective piece that will be performing live at the "Under The Radar" festival in January at Joes Pub (with plenty of other artists as well).

Dig in, there is a lot to unpack with Eszter Balint, no looking back.
