As a beginner learning about dividend investing, you can build wealth and security with dividend paying stocks. Even a dummy can buy dividend paying mutual funds, ETFs, or index funds. But you need to know fundamental analysis if you want to buy individual dividend growth stocks.
One criteria I always use is that any dividend company I invest in needs to have paid an increasing dividend for at least 10 years and has to have grown the dividend faster than inflation year after year.
