Did you know that at just ONE shelter in California this year over 2200 dogs have been euthanized due to overcrowding?

This is a harsh reality in the world of rescue. Some dogs make it out with minutes to spare but a vast majority are being euthanized due to minor behavioral and health issues, simply because there is no space.

On today’s episode of Straight Up Dog Talk, Mattison will tell us what it looks like behind the rescue/shelter doors. Not only will she explain WHY this is happening but she will also give you recommendations on how YOU can help by donating time instead of money.

This is a crisis situation and the problem isn’t going to go away overnight. We need to work together and put a stop to contributing factors like backyard breeding and hoarding.
