A conman can only be as good as the systems that prop him up, and in the case of Richard Walter that happened to be the very system he was defrauding. Through lies and omissions, and a fake twinge of an English accent, Walter convinced the powers that be within the US Justice System that he was a subject matter expert in all things criminal, despite the fact that he had no real training or experience to speak of. Walter’s so-called ‘expert’ testimonies led to false convictions and destroyed lives, all for the glory of one man who wanted to be at the center of it all.
