Ambar Maceo is a Dominican attorney and the founder of Maceo Law, PC, a
Massachusetts-based law firm specializing in criminal defense. She’s made it her
personal mission to help bridge the gap between the criminal justice system and the
people it serves, and to elevate the voices of underrepresented communities.
Prior to immigrating to the United States, almost 10 years ago, Ambar’s experience
ranged from civil litigation, employment and labor claims, to criminal fraud & abuse
claims and white-collar crimes. Once in the U.S., she represented Latinx clients who
had been injured on the job while also helping them connect with community services
and resources.
Her current practice is focused primarily on criminal defense to include generally violent
crimes, drug crimes, theft and/or property crimes, OUI/drunk driving and motor vehicle
offenses, and public order offenses. She remains passionate and committed to
represent the Latinx community and to help them thrive in all aspects of their lives. She
speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and French (though might need a refresher on the
latter).
