Sullee, aka Young Heff (as in Hugh Heffner), was born Robert Sullivan II. As quickly as 5 years old, while in a R and B group called TCB (Taking Care of Business) Sullee developed lyrical aspirations. TCB was under the same management as New Kids on the Block. Maurice Starr the producer of New Kid on the Block knew right away that Sullee had major star quality due to his irreverence on the stage. But after experiencing the music industry Sullee decided he had to be an MC. He has always loved and lived hip-hop since he first heard it as a child born in the 80s. Early 90s hip hop was the catalyst to his entire lifestyle. Sullee’s family decided if they were to support Sullee with this endeavor then they would put 100% into it, and that is how the label was created. The label is Old South End Records LLC run by his father (Robert Sullivan). It’s a family business. “To me family is first and doing business with my dad I know we’re going to put our all into it.” Sullee is also represented by WEG (Wright Entertainment Group) same management company as Justin Timberlake.Sullee has appeared on national TV shows such as; Discovery channels “Party Planners”, a show that put together large parties where Sullee appeared as the entertainment. ABC Family channels “Knock First”, where Sullee was a fan favorite and the show reran the episode many times. The most popular of course VH1’s “Ego Trips: The White Rapper Show” had 10 white rappers competing for $100,000. Sullee approached the show with confidence and the objective of staying true to the ideals that he was raised with, be strong and stand for what you believe in. Sullee’s unwavering love of hip hop, attitude and his smooth way with the ladies contributed to Sullee’s popularity on the show. He decided that it was his time to respectfully leave the show when it started to become more about the gimmicks and less about hip-hop. He memorably left the show abruptly surprising even his family!!Since the show Sullee has released a mix tape “DIVERSIFY YOUR HUSTLE” and is now about to release his debut album “AN AMERICAN TALE”. The album is very eclectic and diverse with everything from club bangers, songs for the ladies, conscious songs, and even a hip hop song with a metal guitar. Sullee has been blessed to work with many talented artists and producers Such as; Claudette Ortiz of city high, Joe Budden, Teddy Riley, Slash of Guns and Roses, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Mims., Billy Squier, Cool and Dre, Jackpot, Blackout, and Ken Lewis, and Producers Coalition of America.Sullee has had four singles played nationally on the radio; “WHAT CHA TRYIN TO DO” Ft. Joe Budden, “BLAH BLAH”, “ TODAY” Ft. Cool and Dre, and “ SIPPIN” Ft. Busta Rhymes all available on Itunes.Sullee has kept himself busy promoting his upcoming album by doing appearances and touring the east coast. Sullee starred on the Rock star tour going to many colleges in the north east making appearances and hosting party’s sponsored by Rock Star energy drink. He also did a radio tour “The BLAH BLAH experience”, which toured the whole east coast. The team smashed the coast with a vengeance hitting urban radio top 40 hip-hop stations well as college stations doing live on air interviews and playing his singles. Sullee and the team has hit as many clubs as humanly possible doing live performances to ensure the name Sullee rang bells when they hit the road.Sullee now 24 has been in the game for a minute and said “I can see the finish line I just need to step up and cross it” and that’s what he plans to do. After the recent success of his first singles off of “AN AMERICAN TALE” , “Blah Blah” and “Today”, he is ready to “do whatever it takes” to make “Sippin” the song that puts him over the hump and into hip hop stardom.
