Hey friends! Welcome to spooky season! This week we're talking about Lee Mandelo's Summer Sons, a southern gothic with a very haunting story. In this episode, we issue a trigger warning at the beginning for conversations of taking your own life, and graphic violence in the book. Admittedly I thought about this ending for a few days after reading, and it's still sticking with me how I want to know more about the characters! The story follows Andrew, who was supposed to follow his now deceased best friend/adoptive brother Eddie south to school at Vanderbilt. Andrew doesn't agree that Eddie took his life, and is haunted by a spectre that he can't accept as the passed Eddie, and upon meeting the hot boys that filled his time, collegiate cohort and otherwise. Did Eddie take his own life? Will this haunt lead him to the truth? Or will Eddie's secrets and secret life swallow Andrew alive? Theme Song by Man With Roses
