John Cannan is a British murderer, serial rapist, and suspected serial killer. He was convicted in 1988 for multiple crimes, including the murder of Shirley Banks in Bristol (1987), attempted kidnapping of Julia Holman (1987), rape of a woman in Reading (1986), and several other sexual offences and abductions. Cannan is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh, an estate agent who vanished in 1986 after meeting a man known as 'Mr. Kipper'.
