So, the Connie Navarro case isn't just about Connie herself but her son, Dave Navarro. Yes, that Dave Navarro, the guitar wizard from Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and love of teenage (& 40 year old) Dee’s life. Now, before Dave became a rock god and a makeup icon, he was just a kid caught in a real-life horror story.
In 1983, his mother, Connie, and her friend were tragically murdered by a former boyfriend, John Riccardi. And not in a "who-done-it" mystery way, but in a "we-know-who-did-it-but-can't-find-him" way. Riccardi became a master of hide-and-seek, evading capture for almost a decade, which is impressive in a dark, definitely-not-a-role-model way.
