OVERVIEW
After Jesus rose from the grave at Easter but before he ascended to heaven, Jesus gave his followers instructions to carry the good news about him into the world. But before they were to leave, he wanted them to wait for a gift from heaven that would empower them for the journey ahead. That gift was the Holy Spirit.
On Pentecost Sunday, we reflect on God's outpouring of his Spirit to the first believers. What did it mean then and what might it mean for us now?
How can we invite the Holy Spirit to be at work in and through us today?
