Kitchen corner

Thanks to mama peach for all of the recipes that Donna will be sharing with you every week in the kitchen corner. This week, we will have two recipes for you. Will share with you a recipe from the "sensible soups and stews" category, and the "dude food" category. First of which, cheesy and chicken noodle soup. Perfect for those cold days to warm your insides.

Cheesy and chicken noodle soup

2-3 cups of cooked chicken: shredded

1-10 three-quarter ounce cup of cheddar cheese soup

4-6 cups of chicken broth

One 8 ounce package of fine egg noodles

(Uncooked)

One cup of milk

Directions

Combine all ingredients except milk in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil, over a medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer, until you're noodles are soft. Then, stir in milk, and spoon into bowls. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over-the-top if desired.

--This makes 6-8 servings

Bacon, onion, and stout braised short ribs

4 pounds, bone in Beef short ribs

(Well trimmed)

In batches, cooking short ribs in skillet turning to brown on all sides.

transfer each batch to crock pot as it finishes

Wipe pan out with paper towel, and return to heat

Add bacon, cooked and stir until crisp

Remove to a paper towel lined plate

Discard all but 1 tablespoon of drippings from Pan

Reduce heat to medium, add onion, cook and stir until onion has softened and is translucent.

add flour, mustard, tomato paste, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Add one and a half teaspoons of pepper.

Stir for one minute, and remove skillet from heat.

Poor in Stout, stirring to scrape brown bits from bottom of pan.

Poor stout mixture over short ribs, add bacon, Bayleaf, and broth to the crockpot.

Cover, and cook on low heat for eight hours or until meat is tender and falls off Bone.

Remove beef, skim fat from cooking, remove and discard Bayleaf, stir in parsley, and surf with mashed potatoes.

Take another five with Technology

The take another five segment is to introduce you to apps Donna thinks you may be interested in. On a weekly basis, Donna brings you some interesting applications you can install on your device, and try out. “I’ll tell you why I like these applications, and how I use these applications in my day.”

The first application to enter deuce you to this week is a amazing chime for you. A friend of Donna’s a couple of years ago introduced it to her, She uses it every day. Donna simply loves the Westminster's chimes application, but I understand that others might not love it as well. For me, it keeps me on track of time and was very easy to install and set up.

Click this link to get the Westminster's chimes application

Click get, it's a free application.

When you open the application there are three different types of chime request, you can choose when you want the application to alert you, hourly, every quarter hour, or a half hour.

The chimes are very clear, and the sound is very nice as well. If you are looking to keep track of your time, definitely check out this amazing chime.

The BBC application is my second recommended application this week for the take another five technology section. Donna uses this application to keep up-to-date with international news, as the BBC is well known for keeping their subscribers up to date with the latest international news. This application serves me very well, and all of the options are easy to choose. Navigation make sense, and you can access all of The international news. Was it mentioned it’s free?

Take another five five minute mystery

If you'd like to listen to the five minute mystery, tune into the podcast and Donna will share with you this week's mystery. Use your imagination to figure out who committed The crime in the cell phone mystery.

He was rich, spoiled, and used his dad's money to get whatever he wanted. He cheated, blackmailed, and partied hard, really hard! At the end, his past caught up to him.

Take another five, in the end zone with the entrepreneur

Donna has been an entrepreneur since 1998, she's seen the landscape of entrepreneurs change so much in the last 18 years from when the Internet wasn't really around, to where the Internet is here, there, and everywhere. Donna hopes that these entrepreneur tips will be useful to you. This week, how do you know if you are a candidate for entrepreneurship?

a few things you may want to consider as to whether or not you're ready for entrepreneurship are the following:

Maybe you're seeking a new career?

Do you wish to be your own boss?

Are you looking to make a little extra income?

Maybe you have the desire to work closer to home?

Tired of not having control of your career and others making your decisions for you?

If you answered yes to any of the above tips, then you should definitely consider entrepreneurship.

It's possible you have questions regarding entrepreneurship when going threw these weekly tips. if so, get in contact with Donna today.

Take another five, help us beat the bullies and scams

This segment is produced because Donna believes that we all need to become more aware of those scams that are floating around. In addition, it's important to be aware of bullying. The campaign against bullying is something Donna is very passionate about, you'll learn more about that by clicking this link.

This week we're going to chat about those scams you're constantly being bombarded with.

Specifically, those emails asking you to verify your personal information for financial institutions.

"Just delete this email, it's no good".

Donna says that no financial institution worth it's pennies will ever send you an email asking you to login and verify your username and password. Simply delete any email asking you to do this, and if you're not sure about this please feel free to go to your bank and ask them if they will ever send you an email requesting you to login and verify your information. Most cases, your bank is going to tell you that they don't. So again, simply delete that message.

Building awareness about bullying

Each time we raise our voice, we are engaging in bullying. Each time we demand something, we are engaging in bullying. Each time we carry out a hostile gesture towards someone else, we are engaging in bullying. We need to stop the threat of bullying, and how do we do this?

Explore the campaign against bullying (cab).
