Welcome to episode 24 of the Take Another 5 podcast. Your host is Donna J. Jodhan, and more about her in a moment. For those of you who are new to the podcast, Take Another 5 is a podcast about a bit of this, and a bit of that. Thanks for your feedback and support, as it's with your feedback that I can continue providing these episodes.
I live in Toronto Canada. I am an author, blogger, audio mystery writer, entrepreneur, advocate, and law student.
What is Take Another 5 all about? The weekly episodes have 5 different segments, the Kitchen corner with two weekly recipes, Maybe your in a crunch or a bind, two busy, or just need to come up with something quickly this may be the segment for you.
The second weekly segment has to do with Technology, and we will bring you apps to enrich your lives and help you with daily functions. We also have a second part to this segment talking about lower level technology. We are talking with you about gadgets that can help you around the kitchen and around the house.
The third segment of the weekly take another 5 podcast is the 5 minute mystery segment. This is your weekly chance to relax and put your thinking cap on so you can figure the answer out.
The 4th segment is in the end zone with the entrepreneur, and that's me. This is the segment you as an entrepreneur. Maybe your a seasoned entrepreneur, or someone looking to learn more about what it's like to be an entrepreneur. The 5th segment is all about staying ahead of bullies and scams. Weekly lessons to help you help yourself and others. Be educated, then decide.

The Kitchen Corner

The kitchen corner is a set of 2 Weekly recipes we bring to you. These recipes are made possible thanks to Melanie mama peach, for continuing to share her great recipes with us.
The first recipes is from the category.
This is braised fruit and lam

Ingredients

6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Four pounds of lamb shanks
two table spoons of salt
. Two tablespoons of black pepper.
One cup of dry apricot.
1 Cup of dried figs
1 and a half cup of water
. One half cup of white vinegar ,(Or white wine.)
One quarter cup of raspberry jam.
One half teaspoon of ground all Spice
one half teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Instructions

preheat your broiler
brushoil on lamb shanks and seasoned with salt and pepper
. Place your shanks in a broiler safe pan
. And broil in your oven to Brown (for five minutes) per side.
Move from oven and transfer to crock pot
Add your dried fruits
combine your water. Vinegaror, jam, all spice, and cinnamon in a small bowl
. Pour over your lam shanks
and cook on low for eight to nine hours or on high for four to five hours
. This makes six to eight servings.

And now the second recipe, This is candied sui. potatoes.

Ingredients

3 mediums sweet Potatoes (one and a half to two pounds)
sliced into one half inch rounds
one half cup of water
one stick of margarine(cut into pieces)
ten packages of sugar substitute
one tablespoon of vanilla
one teaspoon of not meg

Instructions

. Combine all ingredients in a crock pot
mix well and cover
. Cook on low for seven hours or on high for four hours
or until your Potatoes
are tinder.
