This week, Bibic and John sat down with Miles Patterson from FanSociety. Miles is developing a project which attempts to connect music artists with their fans directly, rather than involving other middlemen as is so common today.

FanSociety is both a crowdfunding initiative which operates transparently and a decentralized infrastructure which can be used to discover and share new artists. A structure in which artist health and sustainability is in mind from the start, rather than record producers or streaming services, is an excellent application of public blockchain technology and we’re excited to see independent creators succeed.
