Tales From Meghan's Passenger Seat
Manage episode 437654794 series 3583699
Welcome to Tales From the Passenger Seat: A Sales Manager's Journey. I'm Megan Clarke, your host. I am a seasoned sales executive, professional coach, author, and creator of the Skyscraper Management Online Sales Management Academy. I have spent most of my 20+ year career managing and coaching others to achieve their goals.
I invite you to journey with me through the highs and lows of sales management. Drawing on my years of experience in various leadership positions, I will share personal anecdotes, lessons, and the inspiration behind my commitment to nurturing and coaching sales teams to success.
In this episode, I reflect on my time from being a competitive volleyball player in college to becoming a successful sales manager. The journey has been filled equally with ups and downs, both personally and professionally. I dive into personal exploration and the importance of finding your "why" in wanting to be in sales management.
I discuss the challenges of breaking into management, the impact that supportive leadership can make on the growth and development of others, and the value of coaching. Whether you're a current sales manager, an aspiring leader, or someone interested in personal development, this episode offers valuable insights into what it takes to thrive in a leadership position.
Why the title Tales From the Passenger Seat? The most memorable and meaningful moments as an outside manager have been riding in the passenger seat of representatives' cars nationwide for the past fourteen years. Sales management is more than meeting sales goals and objections. It is about the journey of helping others. Simultaneously, as managers, we learn and grow from the people we manage in ways we never thought.
Welcome to my passenger seat!
